Banana Beach Honduras... Ignore the Gold Coast and commence looking at the Banana Coast!
Banana Beach Honduras - All the way back when I was only a decade old my father, without fail, went each year on a Carribbean getaway. He tended to opt for the massive countries, Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico and Barbados. Year after year he returned with photos and trinkets from the Caribbean, a dance-hall Compact disc, an authentic ring or maybe several souvenirs. Unquestionably at first encouraged by the fact my dad would not allow me to holiday with him , I became determined to check out the Caribbean for myself and slices of heaven of my own.
Soon after the 4th or fifth adventure to the beautiful major resorts daddy usually went to I realized they actually were not to my taste. Who doesn't appreciate the pure pristine of Palm Beach in Aruba or the gentle party atmosphere of Luquillo Beach front in Puerto Rico? Yet I needed something more.
For me going to the Carribbean needs to be like seeing a little portion of paradise. The overloaded and overdeveloped elements of the Gold Coast , or even the spring break atmosphere in Jamaica just do not make the grade for me. Paradise needs to be paradise. So in the past few years I have been looking out undiscovered places within the Caribbean for my vacation trips.
I discovered another awesome location this year... Banana Beach Honduras. Around a half-hour from the sleepy coastal town of Trujillo,Trujillo Bay within the northern section of the country, towards the better known Bay Islands of Roatan and Utilla. Nestled in the heart of Trujillo Bay, Banana Beach is actually just what I need at a Carribbean location... small-scale, quiet along with an emphasis on uniqueness. Instead of a hotel, or simply some other form of complex, the owners opted for 2 bed roomed bungalows.
The bungalows have been contructed using a real eye for fine detail. The bunglalow kitchen and restroom are contemporary, nevertheless the spaces benefit from Colonial pieces of furniture and bamboo features. One of their finest features would be the gazebos that are covered to let you sit in the evening having a drink, with no having to worry about the insects (a tedious fact for all Carribbean holidays!). However for me the the number one important feature of any Caribbean vacation resort is actually the seashore and Banana Beach certainly lives up to the promise.
The Beach front expands out for kilometers in every direction. Much more growth is without a doubt on its way for the Trujillo region, nonetheless at present the coast line is without a doubt pretty intact. If you want a stress-free seaside stroll, Santa Fe, a vibrant Garifuna village, is not too far away. The sea is really clear, the resort beachfront is sandy and well managed. Christopher Columbus found Trujillo a few centuries ago, I'd encourage that you re-discover it before everyone else does!
